Far and away, this was McCain's best performance yet. I think he won handily but doubt it was enough to sway the Kool Aid drinkers. There were two great lines from Mac, one the media caught and the other, I haven't heard mentioned.
Everybody got the " I'm not President Bush, if you wanted to run against him, you should've ran 4 years ago." The one they didn't get was when he called Obama "Senator Government". I do not believe he misspoke.

I loved it when McCain challanged Obama to denounce all of the nasty comments that are being made about him and Obama just kind of paused then changed the subject saying "America wants to talk about the issues"
All in all, I'm still dissapointed in McCain's performance. I don't understand why these politicians don't just take off the gloves. McCain could have mentioned that Wall Street Journal article. He could have explained how Obama is not telling the truth. It's like there's an understanding that no one is going to get called out on anything.
Sad.
