A lot to write about today

It just keeps getting better and better in Luzerne County if you happen to like to write about corruption. Judge Conahan's brother-in-law is the latest beneficiary of our tax dollars. Over $800,000. in the last 4 years. Two hundred thou per year!!!! Holy marthafocker, I am doing something wrong in my life. I need to get myself a relative/buddy in power at the court house.

Scrapheap points out that Urban recommended somebody to bid on supplying the prison with produce. Unlike Scrap, Urban's boy did a whopping $5,000. with the prison. For those who don't remember, Scrap's boy did $700 thou and change. yep Greg, Urban's on the same level as you, not. By the way Greg, how much of the $700,000 did you get?????????????

Our wonderful congressman from the 10TH is showing that he really represents his constituents. He is one of those strange beings known as a super delegate that will actually pick the next democrat to run in the general election. His district voted overwhelmingly for Billary Hatestherod, man Clinton. Yet Carney won't say who he is going to back. I think the only reason for this is that he didn't get his orders from Pelosi yet.

An anti-gun nuts letter to the Times Leader

http://www.timesleader.com/opinion/letters/20080429_Castagna_letter_ART.html

I only included the link in case somebody actually wanted to read this tripe. I can sum it up for you. Essentially, his point is that guns kill people and should be outlawed. Well Mr. Douche water reclamation specialist, I have some important info for you. Cars kill far more people than guns. I say outlaw them. Knives kill people, outlaw them. Baseball bats kill people, outlaw them. Alcohol kills people, outlaw it. Prescription medications can kill, yep, outlaw them. Trains occasionally kill people, people's fists do as well, water occasionally drowns people, an 82 year old woman just killed a motorcyclist, I say outlaw them all. Don't even get me started on hurricanes, tornadoes, fire, diabetes, lightning, obesity, smoking, boredom, and scorned women.

A few things I want a politician to clarify for me

While I sincerely doubt any of them would be brave enough, I'd like to know a few things.

I constantly hear the terms middle class and the wealthy. These are usually bandied about when they are talking about taxes and or tax cuts. I want just one of them to put a dollar figure on what makes a family of four poor, middle class, or wealthy. To make it simple for them, they can base it on the good people living right here in NEPA. Please put it in terms of household income. I know the dollar value would be considerably higher in other areas so please don't bother..

I hear a lot of talk about ending the tax cuts for the "rich". I want just one of them to address the fact that 40% of Americans pay nothing in federal income tax. As a matter of fact, this group of people tends to get money that they never paid in if you know what I mean. I want to know three things. 1. How is this fair? and 2. Would we have a balanced budget if every American paid income tax? and 3. How is it fair that the wealthiest twenty percent of Americans pay NINETY PERCENT of all money collected by the Infernal Revenue Service? (yes, you read that right, 80 % of Americans collectively pay only 10% of the tax burden).

This one is just for Hillary and Obama. Lord knows I'm not a McCain fan, but I keep hearing that if anybody votes for him, they are voting for the war in Iraq. If I'm not mistaken, all 3 of these whackers have said that an immediate withdrawal of troops is impossible. Does that mean a vote for any of them is a vote for the war??????

I love this song

Hurt was originally performed by NIN. I can't help it, I like Johnny Cash's version. If this song doesn't ellicit a response from you, you have issues.

I am an ass

Yesterday I was on the phone with one of the candidates that didn't win their primary. Unfortunately, like a typical douchebag, I Monday morning quarterbacked. It was a mistake and I am truly sorry. That was the absolute last thing you needed to hear. It is very easy to pass judgement ex post facto and a whole lot harder to make the call before the outcome.
Sincerest apologies,
Zen

An interesting article and a must read for employers

Congratulations to Hackett

I am stunned that he actually won. I truly believe the better man for the job lost. Maybe I am wrong but I thought people were tired of negative campaigns. I guess not. Regardless of who you were for in this primary, we now need to get behind Hackett for the general election. We need this seat back. Congratulations Chris! Please turn your dogs lose on Carney now, it worked against Meuser and I really do want you to beat Carney.
