My Democrat Friends were Right

I'll be the first to admit when I'm wrong. My liberal buddies had it right. I'll man up and admit it.
(I can't take credit for this, it was emailed to me. But it's sooo true)

Sad but true, I was a fool:

Dang ... I hate to admit it, but my liberal friends were right!

They had warned me that if I voted for McCain, the nation's Hope would deteriorate, and sure enough there has been a 20 point drop in the Consumer Confidence index since the election, reaching a lower point than at any time during the Bush administration.

They warned me that if I voted for McCain, the US would become more deeply embroiled in the Middle East, and sure enough, thousands of additional troops are scheduled to be deployed into Afghanistan.

They warned me that if I voted for McCain, that the economy would get even worse and sure enough, unemployment is approaching 10% and the new stimulus packages implemented recently have sent the stock market lower than at any time since 9-11.

They warned me that if I voted for McCain, we would see more "crooks" in high ranking positions in Federal government and sure enough, several recent cabinet nominees and Senate appointments revealed resumes of scandal, bribery and tax fraud.

They warned me that if I voted for McCain, we would see more "Pork at the trough" in Federal government spending and sure enough, over 9,000 "earmark Pork Bills" showed up in the bailout in the past few weeks ... several hundred billions for the politicians and lobbyists's pet projects ... and to buy more power and votes.

They told me if I voted for McCain, we would see more deficit spending in DC and sure enough, Pelosi, Reid, Barney, ad infinitum and some worthless Republicans have spent more in 30 days "than all other Presidents together" in the history of theUSA....

I ignored my Democrat friends in November and voted for McCain/Palin.

Damned if they weren't right ... and I still hate to admit it, but all of their predictions have come true.

Is Anyone Else Out There Afraid???

Ok, I honestly have to say this is the first time in my life I feel so helpless about what may be about to happen. I don't know what kind of Voodoo spell or mind altering subliminal messages were used to sway the masses to Obama.
I've never in my life come across so many people who are just complacent and lazy when it comes to defending their candidate. I've spoken to so many Obama supporters with the hope of getting into an intelligent political debate only to find THEY DON'T CARE. They can't defend their candidate. They can't give you ANY reason to vote for him other than "he's going to change things" or "he's in touch". What a bunch of crap!!!
I keep asking and no one will give me reasons.
Let me poke a few holes in Obama's talking points he's been using:

He's NOT just like us unless many of you reading this live in a 1.65 million dollar house while your brother lives in a hut in Kenya and your aunt lives in the projects. But he claims he's his brother's keeper?? Gee, I shudder when I think of how he's going to take care of all of us.

He is NOT who the people wanted. Hillary lost the nomination because of early voting even though she won all of the major states like CA, OH, FL, PA, and TX. Honestly, if this "disqualifying" of votes had occurred in the general you KNOW there would have been riots and protests.

He will NOT help this economy at all!!! Taxing the people who already pay more taxes then anyone else will not have a positive effect on ANYONE!! It's basic economics. But the sheep continue to follow.

Sure, the man is charismatic. He's a slick salesman!!! Anyone who is reading this who has ever been involved in sales knows what I'm talking about. His sales pitch is perfect. Tell the "customer" what they're going to "get" if they pick him. And the biggest sales trick of all........"assumed consent". Assume he already got the sale. He already won. Then the easy targets all sit there shaking their head yes and cast their vote for what will be their biggest mistake ever.

If he wasn't sexist, he would have allowed Hillary to be the nominee or what have asked her to run with him. That would have locked the win. If he wasn't sexist, her wouldn't have called female reporters "sweetie" on two occasions.

If he wasn't racist, he wouldn't have made the comments about small town Americans clinging to their guns and religion. Yes, RACIST. It goes both ways people. Small town WHITE American hicks, rednecks, coal miners, take your pick. He was referring to any of you who go to your local church on a regular basis. He was referring to all of you hunters and/or gun owners. He DOESN'T understand any of you.

It's just so frustrating. Ask an Obama supporter about any of the bad stuff and they keep saying it doesn't matter. The man is getting a pass on everything. What he must think of the mentality of his supporters.

I, as a McCain supporter, can make the argument for my candidate. He wants to let all of us keep more of our money because he knows we will spend it wisely. He wants America to be rich again by using our own resources and bringing back jobs by not having the U.S. as the second most expensive place in the world to do business. He has ALWAYS put his country first before himself from being a POW to campaign finance reform. He has a proven track record on all this.

I'll have a clear conscience tomorrow morning when I cast my vote. And once the Dems see it's closer than they thought it would be they'll do what they did in 2004 and go pick up people and offer "smokes for votes" and they'll "discover" stacks of punch cards that conveniently have that one hole punched or dimpled on every card with a vote for Obama. The writing's on the wall. They couldn't pull it off the last two times. This time they have a plan A, B, and C. They'll win. It'll be close but they'll find a way to make it happen.

When it does, I think I'll just quit my job and wait for that government handout. Why should I bust my balls every day working hard so people can sit on their porches and watch me go to work. Drinking and smoking, getting tattoos and fake nails with my tax dollars. That's the life for me. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em right?

I wish I drank the Koolaid. I wish I ignored all of the facts. I wish I could just follow the media blindly and accept everything they feed me. I wish I could be like those of you out there who will be pulling the lever for Obama. But I can't. I just don't get it. And nobody could give me a good enough reason to get it.

Obama Shining Palin's Shoes While Throwing Away Our Society

Today, I saw something I've never seen before in America. What is commonplace in Cuba and Venezuela has now happened here. People from the left, the card carrying members of the A.C.L.U., think that those of us from the right are the great censors. Obama, his minions, and the kool aid drinkers, have proved them wrong. Today, the left has removed a video because they don't want us to see it because it didn't paint them in a holy light.
Today, a skit from Saturday Night Live was withdrawn from the internet quicker than the recipe for meth. The skit I refer to was about the mortgage and financial meltdown and who really was at fault. Starring in the parody were actors portraying Nancy Pelosi, Barney Frank, George Soros, and George W. Bush. Like most of the modern SNL skits, it wasn't terribly funny. I believe the left's problem was that it was far too close to the truth.

The real problem that I have is if Obama can have this done now, what will he be able to censor if he becomes President???????

When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.
If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.
If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red.
If the Marines are in IRAQ , it's because they want them in IRAQ .
If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.
There are no insoluble government problems.Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. The Mortgage Meltdown and Proposed Bailout

The grand plan that started, encouraged, and literally caused the current problems in the economy. Read the article!!! I don't care if you are democrat, republican, leftie, rightie, moderate, or a moonbat. Educate yourself before you start spouting rhetorical bullshit like Kevin Lynn.

While the policies that led to this crisis are clearly spelled out in the article, I want to go a step further. Specifically, those policies led to a new breed of financial derivative called Credit Default Swaps. Google the term yourself so I don't have to write for an hour to explain it. You see, the loans to people that should never have got them is the catalyst. Greed by derivatives traders was the implosive device. Now, the government wants to step in and bail them out, and that is wrong.

The size of the problem before add ons(bailing people out of mortgages they can't afford, etc.) is about $250 billion. While a staggering number, it is not nearly large enough to tank our economy. Not by a long shot. The real question that needs asked is why the gov. thinks it should be in the mortgage business. Why is it the taxpayer's responsibility to bail out those companies? Why is it the taxpayers responsibility to bail out people that bought houses they couldn't afford? People that should never have been loaned money in the first place? The answer to all is the government and the taxpayers should mind their own business and let the chips fall where they may. People get foreclosed on all the time. Businesses fail all the time. Market corrections happen all the time. This is nothing new and this bailout will do nothing to stop those things from happening.

Who's really gouging us on gas?

I keep hearing the same tired lament from the liberal elite. Big oil companies are gouging us on fuel. If you don't already know it, those big bad companies make an 8% profit on a gallon of gas. While it depends somewhat on which state you live in, the government is collecting about 40 cents per gallon. For those of you bad at math, let's use $4.00 as the average cost to us for said gallon of gas. The government is making 10%. The big bad company is making 32 cents per gallon. I ask you, who is gouging us????

See folks, this is what is called a soft tax. Guess who this tax hits the hardest. It sure isn't the middle and upper classes. It is the very same poor people that the liberal elite claim they are out to protect. The gas tax is just one of many such soft taxes. Think beer, wine, liquor, cigarettes, cigars, electricity, phone service, etc. I have a message for those liberal scumbag liars. It is polite to kiss somebody first before you screw them. Why the less fortunate can't see or understand how badly they are being fooked by the very politicians they support is beyond me. Is it the constant class warfare baiting the left spews????

I am away this week but I must rant

Occasionally in this life, we all get to the point when we need to take a little time for ourselves. That time for me is this week. I made a commitment to take a few friends golfing at my club that would otherwise never have a chance to play there. By doing so, I passed up my chance to have lunch with John McCain. I would dearly have loved to be at that lunch, but in this world, all you have is your word. I gave my word and kept it as I have done for all of my adult life. Perhaps if the lefties learned what it means to be a man of your word, regardless of sacrifice, the world would be a lot better place.

We have become a nation of people with their hand out. We know longer remember J.F.K.'s words. We now, as a whole, ask what our country can do for us. I say that the tyranny of me first will destroy our nation. I say that the governmental institution of forcing our manufacturers offshore weakens us. I say that the bullshit term of "Free Trade" kills us. You see that we offer free trade to other nations and they dump(if you don't know what dump means, please stop wasting our atmosphere by breathing) their goods here. Those same countries do not allow our products to be fairly marketed.

We were once the big dog on the planet producing and shipping goods worldwide. That is what made us a superpower. I say those days are gone and going even farther. Please tell me any major purchase you want to make that is 100% American made. Did you guess Chevy, Ford, Dodge? You would be wrong. America is just about the largest consumer on the planet. What happened to the customer is always right?? Why are we letting these countries dictate our country's internal policy?? We, as a nation, should be negotiating from a position of strength. Instead, we allow third-world shit holes to become our overlords. The big question is WHY?????????????

Barry, John, please tell me why. Tell me like I'm a third grader so I understand. Tell all of us why you are letting this happen. Kanjo, you piece of dog puke, why? Carney, you ultimate lap dog, why? Obama, you not sure what you are, why?

I got a letter from Kanjorski

Today I got his standard form letter that he sends out at a cost of tens of thousands of dollars. In case you didn't get one, allow me to some it up for you. He met with seven owners of home heating oil businesses and agrees with them that it is going to be outrageously expensive to heat a home with oil this winter. Reading between the lines, I learned a thing or two. Namely, none of Kanjorski's nieces or nephews are in the home heating oil business.

Mr. Kanjorski, the most memorable thing you have done as a Congressman has been to funnel 12 fucking million taxpayer dollars to your family. You claim you voted for expanded drilling and exploration and while it is true you did, my question is; Did you check with your party's leadership to see if that was okay? See, I already know the answer, of course you did. Just like that other useless demopuke from our area Carney. You are voting the way your party tells you to vote regardless of the effect on your constituents. Sir, I am ashamed that you and Carney represent us. As a matter of fact, I think you both should be pilloried.

Amazing Archaeological Discovery

Gas at $4.00 per gallon or more. Succeeded!!
Diesel approaching $5.00 per gallon. Succeeded!!!
Home heating oil approaching $5.00 per gallon. Succeeded!!!
Economy far worse now than it was two years ago. Succeeded!!!
Brought our troops home? Failed.
Housing and cars sales at worst levels in years. Succeeded!!!
Recession walking through the front door and raiding the fridge. Succeeded!!!
Approval ratings even more dismal than Bush's. Succeeded!!!

What exactly have they done that is remotely deserving of support?? Somebody please tell me.

The unfortunate realities of politics

I spent a portion of my afternoon with Dan Meuser. I have considered Dan a friend for nigh on twenty years. That had literally no bearing on my support for him in the 10TH primary. Had his principles and morals been diametrically opposed to my own, I would've buried him in my blog. The fact is, I have always respected Dan and after today, I respect him even more. He is a man of unquestionable honor that chose the high road in a nasty campaign and was punished for it. I directly asked him why he didn't use the dirt that those of us in the know, know about Hackett. His response; " You know I'm not that kind of guy". By God, that is what I want in my Congressman. The 10TH had the opportunity to have an honorable man represent them and we blew it!!!! Many of you voters in the 10Th listened to an unmitigated load of bullshit from Hackett's hatchet men and voted for the wrong man. If any of you think I write this piece out of bitterness, you are wrong. Dan would've been the kind of leader we need in the 10TH. He would not have been some left coast liberal's lapdog like Carney. Hackett changes his opinions depending on who he is speaking to. Sadly, he is the only Republican running. Granted, he won the primary. The how he won it is what sticks in my craw. Chris, you did an incredible amount of damage to my party with your campaign. Yes, I said my party. I don't believe you are a true Republican. I know you are not a true conservative. I've known you for quite a while. I have written that the party needs to mend the fences and get behind you in the general election. I think I may have been wrong.

The Meuser family has made a huge investment in our area. They offer real living wage jobs and opportunity to make a very comfortable income. They do not play favorites based on familial connections. They promote based on merit. They are an honorable family that has done much for the valley. They did not deserve to be called criminals. They did not deserve to be called liars or murderers. For the lies that Hackett's hatchets told, we should shun them. We should not do business with them. We should treat them like the scoundrels they are. They are less than scum. They are smegma. I call on my fellow business people to show our distaste for his campaign's behavior. Rant over.

The Presidential Scene

I watched the debates this weekend. I have to say, it is the same old crap being shoveled by the same old hacks. For now I'll leave the republican side out of it and focus on the Dems. The same class warfare shit that they always trot out. Give tax cuts to the poor. I have a newsflash for those douche nozzles; THE POOR DON'T PAY INCOME TAX!!!! According to the Infernal Revenue Service's website, 90% of individual tax revenue comes from the richest 20% of Americans. For those of you that are bad at math, that means the other 80% of Americans are paying just 10% of the taxes collected. I may not be the smartest man to ever come down the pike but that seems like somebody isn't paying their share. Consider further that those who get the most back for the tax they paid (snicker), are the poor. They get help with medical, food, daycare, etc, etc. I have never had a check come to me from the government. I have never had a tax refund, I owe every year on top of what is witheld from my salary. I buy my own groceries. I pay my own medical insurance. I pay my own heat and electric bills. The only thing the government contributes to my housing is a staggering tax bill. All that being said, exactly who should get a tax cut??? I am not remotely saying that I'd rather be poor but listening to each and every dem candidate talk about reducing the poor persons tax burden makes me want to scream.

Also consider that the front runner from their side is none other than Barrack Hussein Obama. He may claim that he isn't a muslim but that name sure doesn't sound Irish Catholic to me!! Last I checked, we are fighting a war on terror. Some folks may not realize it, but the terrorists we are fighting are radical muslims. I may be wrong, but having one of them as are President scares the living shit out of me. I sincerely doubt Obama will put our country's interests above the Koran. By the way, why isn't the media publishing his full name????? I don't say these things because he is black, I mean let's face it, he's whiter than I am.

Billary's past actions and scandals alone should preclude her from any office other than dog catcher. After all, it takes one to catch one.

John Edwards made hundreds of millions suing the crap out of anyone he could. That kind of lawyering is why most people despise lawyers. He is nothing more than a modern day pirate. Who exactly would want him to be our President?
