maxine Provides Some Solutions To Big Problems

Everyone concentrates on the problems we're having in this country lately: illegal immigration, hurricane recovery, alligators attacking people in Florida Not me. I concentrate on solutions for the problems.
It's a win-win situation. Dig a moat the length of the Mexican border. Send the dirt to New Orleans to raise the level of the levies. Put the Florida alligators in the moat along the Mexican border. Any other problems you would like for me to solve today ?

Yes! Think about this one: 1. Cows 2. The Constitution 3. The Ten Commandments
C O W S Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that during the mad cow epidemic our government could track a single cow, born in Canada almost three years ago, right to the stall where she slept in the state of Washington? And, they tracked her calves to their stalls.. But they are unable to locate 11 million illegal aliens wandering around our country. Maybe we should give each of them a cow.

T H E C O N S T I T U T I O N
They keep talking about drafting a Constitution for Iraq .... Why don't we just give them ours? It was written by a lot of really smart guys, it has worked for over 200 years, and we're not using it anymore.

T H E 1 0 C O M M A N D M E N T S
The real reason that we can't have the Ten Commandments posted in a courthouse is this: You cannot post 'Thou Shalt Not Steal, ' 'Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery,' and 'Thou Shall Not Lie' in a building full of lawyers, judges and politicians....It creates a hostile work environment.

Obama to Ban Assault Rifles

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/story?id=6960824&page=1

I only included the link so that you could read it and verify the truth of this post.

He wants to ban them to benefit Mexico. Screw the citizens of America that he is supposed to represent!! I told you before he was even elected that this would happen. Obama, who declared that he wouldn't take away our guns and didn't have the votes for it anyway is doing just that. All the people on the left that said it would never happen, I ask you, what do you have to say now?

How to catch Wild Pigs

Do you know how to catch wild pigs?

You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come every day to eat the free corn. When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence. They get used to that and start to eat again. You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side. The pigs, which are used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat; you slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd.Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity. Is this what is happening to America? The government keeps pushing us toward socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine, drugs, etc., while we continually lose our freedoms -- just a little at a time. One should always remember: There is no such thing as a free lunch! Also, a politician will never provide a service for you cheaper than you can do it yourself. Also, if you see that all of this wonderful government 'help' is a problem confronting the future of democracy in America; you might want to send this on to your friends. If you think the free-ride is essential to your way of life then you will probably not tell everybody you know about this, but God help you when the gate slams shut!Keep your eyes on the newly elected politicians who are about to slam the gate on America.

"A government big enough to give you everything you want, is big enough to take away everything you have"
Thomas Jefferson

Bailout Prize Patrol

Hilarious and depressing at the same time. Spend 4 minutes and watch it!!!

Phillip Berg was on Savage Nation Last Night

I thought that this was put to rest, apparently not. For the life of me, I can't understand why Obama will not provide the documents. If there is nothing to hide, why not produce them?
John McCain produced his very unflattering college transcripts. Why doesn't Obama?

Anybody that was born in any state in the union can get a copy of their birth certificate in a matter of days. There is absolutely no reason for Obama not to produce a certified copy of his.

Bonner Running for Controller???

I was out and about this weekend and what does somebody hand me? Gerry(or is it Jerry?) Bonner's petition to run for controller in Luzerne County.

I've met Mr. Bonner a few times and actually like the guy. That being said, for those who don't know anything about him, he has been one of the most powerful members of the democrat machine in the county for decades. Assuming that political influence was used to get a county job (snort), I would be very interested to see a list of the people that got their county job through a phone call from Mr. Bonner. What do you say Gerry, will you provide a list? Will those that were the beneficiaries of his luminance come forward and admit it? The answer of course would be no to both.

Do we really want more of the same democrat shenanigans that have made our county a laughing stock? Judging by the hundreds of names on the the petition, I guess many in the county do.

A Great Quote

"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom.

What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.

The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend is about the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

Guest Post on the Problems With Obama's Stimulus Bill

After watching in awe what has been going on in Washington, I feel compelled to write this letter to my fellow citizens. First of all, I will admit that I did not support Mr. Obama but I was willing to give both he and his new administration the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, it did not take long for me to come to the realization that our new President and Congress have proceeded to take our great country down the path of no return. I have watched in sheer amazement as our President has continued to talk down about the economic situation and use fear mongering tactics just to get the bills passed through Congress such as the so called stimulus bill and now the mortgage bill that do nothing but pay back the groups that supported him in the recent election. In fact, the stimulus bill was rushed through before anyone had the chance to know what exactly was contained in it’s over 1,000 pages. Now as we come to find out, it is loaded with “pork” and pet projects and will not do anything to help the Nations small businesses and hard working people who go to work each and every day and give 100% to try and support their families! It only pays back the Unions (who have ruined this country) and the other special interest groups to thank them for their vote and make sure that they vote for the Democratic party in future elections.

We need real leadership in Washington during this period of uncertainty, not a bunch of kids that are getting their on the job training at our expense! There have been a lot of respected economists and savvy professionals that have tried to point out the policy flaws but their voices have fallen on deaf ears. We cannot continue to print money to bail out failing businesses that have been run poorly for many years and to bail out anyone who has been living beyond their means and have made bad monetary decisions. What about helping the over 90% of the people who are actually paying their mortgages and their obligations and are working everyday as we have been taught by our parents to do? What about helping the well managed businesses that are struggling to stay afloat in this economy so they do not have to lay off or cut the salary and benefits of their hard working employees? But no, our President and Congress have seen fit to help those that cannot help themselves. We have all suffered with the downturn in the stock market and our real estate investments etc. but what has the government done for us by passing the stimulus bill? They have only succeeded in mortgaging the Country and the futures of our children and their children.

If anyone really believes that the stimulus bill just passed will accomplish what it was intended to accomplish and we will not be required to spend and print more money in the near future, they are sadly mistaken. Until Washington and all of our elected officials realize what is really needed to turn around our economy, we will continue to go down the same path as we are on until it is too late. I urge all of you to contact your elected officials and express your opinions before it is too late – we are running out of time. If we do not act now, I am afraid that the U.S. will become another Luzerne County, only larger.

Sincerely,

Jeffrey S. Dickson

The "Racist" Cartoon From The New York Post

This is the cartoon that has Kevin Lynn's panties in a bunch and Nancy Kman's knickers in a knot. Forgive me for pointing this out, but didn't we just go through 8 years of those on the left comparing Bush to a chimp? Hypocrisy, nobody does it better than a liberal!!!!

Obama's Mortgage Plan

If you haven't read about it, let me boil it down to its simplest terms. In essence, he wants you to pay your neighbor's mortgage whether you want to or not.

While I do feel badly about people that are losing their home because of reasons beyond their control, I still don't think it's fair that I, and you, should have to pay their mortgage. I certainly have zero sympathy for those that bought houses that were far beyond their means but guess what, we get to pay their mortgages too. I actually know people that are living in a $400k house that should be living in a $100k home. They have nothing left over for savings, they won't be able to put their kids through college, and god bless them if a rainy day comes into their lives. In reality, they would be far better off if they did lose their home. Then again, they wouldn't be able to tell their friends and acquaintances that they live in such and such development.

You are probably asking yourself what you get for living your life right and within your means. The answer is, like me, you get the bill for those that don't, won't, and never will live right or within their means. Sounds fair, doesn't it??????

How to Live Longer

In case the utopia that Obama is trying to create doesn't pan out (IT WON'T), these are some pretty good rules to extend your life. Special thanks to RW for a nice find!!

Drill Sergeant Joe B. Fricks Rules For A Gunfight

1. Forget about knives, bats and fists. Bring a gun. Preferably, bring at least two guns. Bring all of your friends who have guns. Bring four times the ammunition you think you could ever need.

2. Anything worth shooting is worth shooting twice. Ammunition is cheap - life is expensive. If you shoot inside, buckshot is your friend. A new wall is cheap - funerals are expensive

3. Only hits count. The only thing worse than a miss is a slow miss.

4. If your shooting stance is good, you're probably not moving fast enough or using cover correctly.

5. Move away from your attacker and go to cover. Distance is your friend. (Bulletproof cover and diagonal or lateral movement are preferred.)

6. If you can choose what to bring to a gunfight, bring a semi or full-automatic long gun and a friend with a long gun.

7. In ten years nobody will remember the details of caliber, stance, or tactics. They will only remember who lived.

8. If you are not shooting, you should be communicating, reloading, and running. Yell "Fire!" Why "Fire"? Cops will come with the Fire Department, sirens often scare off the bad guys, or at least cause then to lose concentration and will.... and who is going to summon help if you yell "Intruder," "Glock" or "Winchester?"

9. Accuracy is relative: most combat shooting standards will be more dependent on "pucker factor" than the inherent accuracy of the gun.

10. Someday someone may kill you with your own gun, but they should have to beat you to death with it because it is empty.

11. Stretch the rules. Always win. The only unfair fight is the one you lose.

12. Have a plan.

13. Have a back-up plan, because the first one won't work. "No battle plan ever survives 10 seconds past first contact with an enemy."

14. Use cover or concealment as much as possible, but remember, sheetrock walls and the like stop nothing but your pulse when bullets tear through them.

15. Flank your adversary when possible. Protect yours.

16. Don't drop your guard.

17. Always tactical load and threat scan 360 degrees. Practice reloading one-handed and off-hand shooting. That's how you live if hit in your "good" side.

18. Watch their hands. Hands kill. Smiles, frowns and other facial expressions don't (In God we trust. Everyone else keep your hands where I can see them.)

19. Decide NOW to always be aggressive ENOUGH, quickly ENOUGH.

20. The faster you finish the fight, the less shot you will get.

21. Be polite. Be professional. But, have a plan to kill everyone you meet if necessary, because they may want to kill you.

22. Be courteous to everyone, overly friendly to no one.

23. Your number one option for personal security is a lifelong commitment to avoidance, deterrence, and de-escalation.

24. Do not attend a gunfight with a handgun, the caliber of which does not start with anything smaller than "4".

25. Use a gun that works EVERY TIME. "All skill is in vain when an Angel blows the powder from the flintlock of your musket." At a practice session, throw you gun into the mud, then make sure it still works. You can clean it later.

26. Practice shooting in the dark, with someone shouting at you, when out of breath, etc.

27. Regardless of whether justified of not, you will feel sad about killing another human being. It is better to be sad than to be room temperature.

28. The only thing you EVER say afterwards is, "He said he was going to kill me. I believed him. I'm sorry, Officer, but I'm very upset now. I can't say anything more. Please speak with my attorney."

Finally, Drill Sergeant Frick's Rules For Un-armed Combat.
1. Never be unarmed.

Update on Obama's Stimulus Mistake

I read in one of the local papers that Paul Kanjorski isn't sure if he supports it. As Obama isn't from good old NEPA, I offer my services as a translator so that he may garner Kanjo's support.

What Kanjo means by "nor sure he supports" is that he went through the spending with a fine tooth comb and there just aren't enough earmarks to his family members. Nowhere in the bill is there funding for Cornerstone II Electric Spendaloo. Not once is poor Russell out in Colorado even mentioned. President Obama, Kandoucheski is just asking for a little love for his family and by little love, I of course mean he wants another $12 million or so for them. Surely with all the pork in the spending plan you could at least steer that paltry sum to them, can't you????

The Senate Passes $838 Billion Obama Stimulus Bill

Unfortunately, that figure isn't represenative of the actual price tag of this monumental boondoggle. It leaves out the $350Bn still sitting around from W's $700Bn mistake. It also doesn't count the projected $350Bn more that the pols are already saying will be needed later this year. For those bad at math, that is one point five trillion fooking dollars. Literally almost 15% of the national debt spent in the blink of an eye!!!!!

If that doesn't scare you about the future of our country, nothing ever will. I have pointed out the pork and wasteful spending that I could find in the bill and I am quite certain that I've missed quite a bit. This is a frightening day for America.

How did the financial markets react to this wonderful plan that is supposed to save the economy? They are in free fall!!! Seems like I'm not the only one that believes this is the mistake of the millenium.

Pork in Obama's Stimulus Bill

For Nancy and Kevin on WILK because they claim there is absolutely no wasteful spending or pork in the Messiah's nearly trillion dollar spending plan. Also for the left wing loonies that called in and agreed with them.

Wasteful and Non-Stimulus Spending Provisions

• $2 billion earmark to re-start FutureGen, a near-zero emissions coal power plant in Illinois that the Dept. of Energy defunded last year because the project was inefficient

• A $246 million tax break for Hollywood movie producers to buy motion picture film

• $650 million for the digital television (DTV) converter box coupon program

• $88 million for the Coast Guard to design a new polar icebreaker (arctic ship)

• $448 million for constructing the Dept. of Homeland Security headquarters

• $248 million for furniture at the new Dept. of Homeland Security headquarters

• $600 million to buy hybrid vehicles for federal employees

• $400 million for the CDC to screen and prevent STD’s

• $1.4 billion for a rural waste disposal programs

• $150 million for Smithsonian museum facilities

• $1 billion for the 2010 Census, which has a projected cost overrun of $3 billion

• $75 million for “smoking cessation activities”

• $200 million for public computer centers at community colleges

• $75 million for salaries of employees at the FBI

• $25 million for tribal alcohol and substance abuse reduction

• $10 million to inspect canals in urban areas

• $6 billion to turn federal buildings into “green” buildings

• $500 million for state and local fire stations

• $650 million for wildland fire management on Forest Service lands

• $150 million for Smithsonian museum facilities

• $1.2 billion for “youth activities,” including youth summer job programs

• $88 million for renovating the headquarters of the Public Health Service

• $412 million for CDC buildings and property

• $500 million for building and repairing NIH facilities in Bethesda, MD

• $160 million for “paid volunteers” at the Corporation for National and Community Service

• $5.5 million for “energy efficiency initiatives” at the VA “National Cemetery Administration”

• $850 million for Amtrak • $100 million for reducing the hazard of lead-based paint

• $75M to construct a new “security training” facility for State Dept Security officers when they can be trained at existing facilities of other agencies.

• $110 million to the Farm Service Agency to upgrade computer systems

• $200 million in funding for the lease of alternative energy vehicles for use on military installations.

• State Medicaid Bailout: $87.7 billion Through 3 different mechanisms, the bill would provide additional federal funds to state Medicaid programs over the next 3 years. This is nearly $70 billion more than the governors asked President Obama for in December, and should be a loan to be repaid by the states.

Did I miss any?????

The Luzerne County Corruption Crew

As more and more of this sordid tale comes to light, isn't it obvious what needs done in our courthouse? It needs a very thorough enema! Every single employee there that got their job through nepotism or cronyism (that's pretty much everybody) needs to be replaced through an open and transparent process. Advertise every job and I mean every job there and make sure the interviews are conducted by an outside source. I certainly don't mean Hackett's firm either, after all, he has donated heavily to many of the elected power brokers there.

As has been covered on my friend Gort42's page, many are in fear of losing their job. As well they should be!! We have all heard the stories about county employees that rarely, if ever, actually show up for work (and I'm not just talking about certain park directors either). These people have others clock them in and out and are protected by those in power. I say they are flat out stealing from the taxpayers. They all need to go!

Now we have a judge's son using his father's name in an effort to escape justice. I personally like the guy and my family has enjoyed many a great meal at his restaurant. The problem is the systemic sense of entitlement that those who have friends and relatives in power in the courthouse have. They believe they are immune and protected from any type of trouble. We need them to know just how wrong they are! As for the judge stating that he will have a judge from another county handle the trial if there is one, come on, does anybody honestly believe that the presiding judge isn't going to get a phone call?????? Spare me!
